When did you start and what gave you the idea to start? 

Founded by coffee professionals committed to making a difference and doing things differently, Timely Coffees has been roasting coffee since 2017.

What makes you unique?

We plant a tree for every bag of coffee we sell at timelycoffees.com.au.

What is your roasting process?

We roast on an IMF 15kg coffee roaster at our HQ at Timely Coffees in the suburb of Bayswater, Western Australia. Here, we roast small batch coffees, ranging from blends, to single origins, to micro-lots.

What challenges do you think the industry are facing that coffee drinkers ought to know more about?

Climate change. This significantly affects coffee-growing regions worldwide. Rising temperatures, unpredictable weather patterns, and more frequent extreme weather events (like droughts and heavy rains) are making it harder for farmers to grow coffee. Coffee plants require specific conditions to thrive, and the changing climate is shifting these ideal growing zones, often forcing farmers to move to higher altitudes or adapt in ways that can be costly and difficult.
